Is Alcohol Vegan?


Not all alcohol beverages are suitable for vegans.
Some beers, wines and spirits may have been filtered with products derived from nonhuman animals. Most common products:
  • Animal Albumen = Dried blood.
  • Casein = Milk protein (also Caseinate).
  • Egg Albumen = Egg whites
  • Gelatin = fining agent made from the connective tissues and bones of animals.
  • Glycerin = Anti-foaming agent made from animal fat (also Glyceryl Monostearate)
  • Honey = Flavouring and sweetener made by bees.
  • Insects = used for coloring agents.
  • Insinglass = bladders of fishes.
  • Pepsin = foamin agent, taken from the stomach of pigs.
