Thrive: The Vegan Nutrition Guide to Optimal Performance in Sports and Life.
From the author:
The first and only comprehensive nutrition book written for the vegan athlete. Thrive is a long-term eating plan that will help you develop a lean body, sharp mind, and everlasting energy, whether you 're a professional athlete or simply looking to boost your physical and mental health.
One of the few professional athletes on an entirely plant-based diet, Brendan researched and developed this easy-to-follow program to enhance his performance as an elite endurance athlete. Brendan clearly describes why it's easier for the body to utilize nutrient-rich foods in their natural state than refined, processed foods and how to choose nutritionally efficient, stress-busting whole foods to maximize energy and health.
And because plant-based foods are more environmentally friendly to produce, you'll also help the planet while improving your personal health.

Becoming raw.
Authors: Brenda Davis.
Written by the same author as Becoming Vegan, Becoming Raw is an in-depth, scientifically-based look at the nutrition available in a vegan raw diet.
The first part of the book covers the history of the raw food movement in the United States, the benefits of raw food and practical information about nutrition, carbs, fats, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.
One of the chapters debunks some of the theories and myths that are associated with nutrition and factually deals with concerns about the safety of such raw foods as buckwheat greens, sprouted legumes and alfalfa, among others.
The second part of the book includes a selection of recipes. Learn how to make smoothies, nut butters, snack foods, lunch meals such as raw soups, salads, raw pizza, Thai spring rolls, and desserts such as raw vegan ice cream. Blender, dehydrator and food processor are required for some recipes but not all.
